These vehicles dramatically improve the safety of newly laying, replacing, and removing the electric conductors of an overhead distribution line and also dramatically reduce labor required for such work. 
As they are operated hydraulically, their speed and tension can be adjusted easily. In addition, they can wind and unwind three conductors simultaneously or separately. 
They can also be used with a traverser to perform regular winding automatically. Two models of vehicles are available: one is Model YD033A, which takes hydraulic power out of the engine of the vehicle through PTO; the other is Model YD043A, which is equipped with an engine designed specifically for noise reduction and therefore is suitable for works in built-up areas as a means of noise reduction.
A power gate is included with these vehicles as standard. It contributes to fatigue reduction as well as provides the operator with safety.
